How do I get a transaction reversed?
Having a transaction reversed, sometimes called a chargeback or transaction dispute, is the process to request a refund from the merchant.
You can only request a merchant refund for a completed transaction. Pending transactions are not eligible for a refund or the chargeback process.
You will need to contact the merchant directly to request a refund. If the merchant will not provide a refund and you believe you are eligible, you can ask for us to assist by requesting a refund using the dispute a transaction form. To resolve the issue as quickly as possible, we’ll need the following information:
- A description of what happened, what you purchased and why you are requesting a refund. Provide us with as much factual information as possible.
- Provide us with any proof you have, such as receipts and invoices, and links to websites for online purchases
- Copies of all communication between you and the merchant
